DESCRIPTION

The “Skin & Hair Disorders” course is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge to identify and diagnose common skin and hair disorders. During this 4-day course, students will learn about different types of skin and hair disorders, their causes, symptoms, and treatment options.

 

Topics covered in the course include skin anatomy and physiology, common skin and hair disorders such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, alopecia, and dermatitis, identifying disorders through visual inspection, and referral processes for more complex disorders.

 

Students will also learn about the importance of record-keeping and documentation when dealing with clients with skin and hair disorders, including confidentiality and privacy requirements.

 

Throughout the course, students will engage in practical activities and case studies to apply their learning in real-world scenarios. Upon completion of this course, students will have the skills and knowledge to identify and diagnose common skin and hair disorders in a salon environment.
